Total Defence Day |
Total Defence Day is commemorated on 15 February each year – the anniversary of the surrender of the British to the Japanese on 15 February 1942. The core message of Total Defence is “everyone has a part to play” through the six key pillars of Military, Civil, Economic, Social, Digital and Psychological Defence. Total Defence Day is meant to strengthen our resolve to keep Singapore safe, secure and independent. Every Singaporean should play a part, individually and collectively, to build a strong, secure and cohesive nation. When we are strong, we are able to deal with any crisis. |
